Water evaporates continuously and in large quantities from the pool surface and the damp tiles around it. Several thousand litres of water can evaporate from a swimming pool in just one day. Many indoor swimming pools without an adequate dehumidification system are subject to serious damage and destruction due to mould, rot and corrosion in the equipment, installations, walls and concrete bodies. In addition to the damage caused by moisture itself, evaporated chlorine also causes serious corrosion and has a corrosive effect on building materials.
Dehumidification is closely related to the comfort of people as well as the protection of the building. Excessive humidity will cause discomfort to visitors and staff in the swimming pool. In order to create the right solution
"POINT" has prepared this selection guide for the purpose of dehumidifying swimming pools. The aim of the guide is to assist engineers and pool installers in selecting the right pool dehumidifier for small-sized pools, hotel swimming pools, public swimming pools and Olympic swimming pools.
Designing a pool dehumidifier involves a complex process, as there are many interrelated factors. Changes to certain parameters can often affect other areas. A careful analysis and, above all, a coordinated effort between the architect and the design engineer is required for the dehumidification system. Since a successful dehumidification system is a general solution for the entire facility, the dehumidification and temperature regulation to be carried out are also directly related to the ventilation system. The success of the system is based on the experience and extensive expertise gained by POINT in many pool dehumidification plant projects. Therefore, we are pleased to say that a safe choice will be made if you follow the instructions in the manual.

Components

Panel-Profile-Structure
The pool dehumidification unit body is manufactured from high quality aluminum profiles that provide high strength and resistance against adverse weather conditions. The structure of the unit provides superior design and mechanical features with panel options suitable for all climate conditions. Panel sheets are electrostatic powder painted. The standard rock wool insulation provides energy saving with its low heat transfer coefficient. The base base is 150 mm high as standard. The design of the base base is made suitable for the unit to be moved and positioned by crane or forklift.
Plate Heat Exchanger
All P-POOL pool dehumidification units have aluminum plate air-to-air heat exchangers and a pan for draining condensed water. These features of the plate heat exchanger allow for an extended service life and also to maintain the best performance levels for a long time. A motorized damper can be added to the plate heat exchanger as an option.

Fans
Statically and dynamically balanced fans are located directly on the driven motor shaft. The fans are mounted on a base with anti-vibration mounts together with the motor. High-performance fans developed using the latest technologies significantly reduce weight and offer superior mechanical properties. They extend operating life, provide lower power consumption and provide a significant reduction in noise level. Depending on the area of use, forward or backward curved blades, belt pulley, direct coupled (plug), ex-proof or EC fan motor options are available. Adjustable belt-pulley versions are available as options.
Serpentine
It is made by welding rods instead of fins on serpentine-shaped coiled tubes to increase the surface. It is a matter of small cooling loads. High values; It belongs to forced convection and evaporator made of good conductive material in the form of copper tube and aluminum rod. Small values; It is for the opposite convection and steel-steel evaporators.

Compressor
The cooling circuit is made of 1 or 2 units depending on the capacity of the plant. The refrigerant used is environmentally friendly. The compressor in the plant has a long service life and also high performance levels. By providing High Reliability and Optimum system efficiency, the compressor working cycle is kept at a minimum level and longer working lives are provided.
Filters
Filters are installed at the unit inlet to ensure normal operation of the plant and to prevent contamination of the components. Filters for air drawn from outside and inside are in G4 standards and are mounted in a way that they can be easily installed and removed. There is a service door in the filter cells. The frame is made of galvanized steel sheets. Optionally, filters can be produced in G4 and F7 classes.

Muffler
Silencers designed according to sound damping levels are placed in the module. Silencers consisting of black glass wool covered rock wool filling material are installed in a galvanized frame. Sound damping is performed at appropriate lengths and frequencies on the return air, exhaust air and supply air sides. The air inlet side is specially designed to provide laminar flow distribution.
Heat Pipe
It allows heat transfer between the air that is desired to be conditioned (supply air) and the air that is desired to be discharged from the environment (exhaust air). This system provides great benefits in cases where the air needs to be dehumidified and the air needs to be reheated to provide low temperature and then not blow too cold air. The Heat Pipe provides convenience and significant energy savings in this application. It increases indoor air quality. It can be easily installed in the Pool Dehumidification Unit like any other battery. R134A is used as the refrigerant in the heat pipe.

Differential Pressure Sensor
This device detects the pressure between two points and produces an output based on a calibrated pressure range. They are used to measure the smallest pressure differences in the ventilation ducts connected to the dehumidification unit, control air flow, monitor filter occupancy rates and control fans.
Dumper
Air dampers are used for air volume adjustment and pressure control in blowing and suction channels connected to dehumidification units. Damper cases are designed to create minimum pressure loss when in the open position. When the wings are in the closed position, they overlap each other and prevent air passage by creating a leak-proof structure. It has a high quality aluminum extrusion body and impact resistant hard gears.

Accessories
We use materials resistant to negative external factors such as mold and oxidation in humid environments in our pool dehumidification units. Depending on the materials used, the device and component lifespan is under Point guarantee. Different types of equipment can be used optionally depending on the area of use. In Point dehumidification units, importance is given to the use of ergonomic accessories.
Automation
P-POOL pool dehumidification unit is offered as a package type with automation system. In this way, the device can be directly put into operation by making the power connection and pre-settings. All automation equipment is positioned inside the device and protected from external factors. It provides automatic detection and activation of different determined working scenarios. It can work integrated with building automation systems. According to the set pressure value of the filters, the control of pollution status and all alarms can be monitored on the LCD screen. It provides proportional control of fresh air, return air and mixing dampers.

PLATE TYPE HEAT RECOVERY
DEHUMIDIFICATION PLANT

Plate type heat recovery P-POOL-PR pool dehumidification unit is a highly effective outdoor air dehumidification system with a high efficiency cross-flow heat exchanger. This system offers significant reductions in operating costs thanks to real energy savings of up to 80%, while perfectly controlling humidity and indoor temperature. With the integrated air mixing feature, only the required amount of fresh air is included in the system, keeping operating costs to a minimum. Thanks to the integrated by-pass in the unit, 100% fresh air given to the system in the summer months can also be cooled. For countries with high outdoor temperatures in the summer months, an additional cooling coil can be added to the system for more dehumidification and air cooling capacities. Different fan types, filter features and coil options are evaluated during the design phase to fully meet the requirements.
